Sleepyhead

Last night before I went to bed I went to check on Landon and this is what I saw...
David and I could not stop laughing. Landon threw this hat in his bed while we were playing in his room, and I forgot to take it out before he went to bed. Funny thing is is that he does NOT like to wear hats at all, and the fact that he fell asleep with one on just cracks us up!!

Tonight before I came to bed I checked on Landon, and there he was sleeping with his little lamb tucked under his arm...pure sweetness.

ABC...

Painting

When we got home this afternoon Landon wanted to paint. He loves this sort of thing and he stays focused on it for a very long time!
He told me that he was making airplanes and snakes! Before he finished, he made sure that every little piece of his paper was red!!
He was so into his painting that I couldn't get him to look at the camera. So at one point I said, "Landon, let me see your eyes"! And this is the look that I got! So funny!
A few sweet things I want to remember:

Lately, if David or I get hurt Landon gives our "owies" a kiss. The other day I told Landon that my stomach hurt, so he said, "oh, kiss" and kissed my stomach. The way that he says 'kiss' is just so sweet. He gives his stuffed animals kisses too if he thinks that they are hurt!
He has also been good about sharing--which is pretty easy to do around here since there are no other little kids. He will be playing with a toy or helping me do something and then say, "Mommy's turn"...it is just so sweet!! He has the cutest little voice.

Mowing With Dad

Landon wanted to help dad mow the yard this evening!

I love how he wants to do everything that we do. We have to really think about what we say and do, since we have a pair of ears and eyes watching our every move! Ha!

Speaking of wanting to do everything we do...Landon was putting blush on his cheeks one morning while I was getting ready!! Shhh...don't tell David!

Landon seems to change everyday. He is a fun little guy and such a character! Lately, when I tell him to be careful or not to do something because he might get hurt, he will pretend that he got hurt. The other day I told him to watch his fingers as he was closing a door, and when I turned around he put his finger in the crevice of the door and started whimpering...then he started laughing as if to say, "ha ha, gotcha ya"! He has also started pretending...it is so fun! He likes to bring me pretend cookies, milk, M&M's, and napkins! So FUN!!

March for Babies

This morning we woke up early to March for Babies. We love doing this each year in memory of Logan. My heart was a little heavy this morning as were preparing for the walk, but Landon sure does know how to put a smile on my face. Landon and David ready for the walk. It was a dreary morning with some random sprinkles. About the middle of our 3.5 mile walk the rain really started picking up. Fortunately, our stroller has a canopy so Landon stayed dry for the most part.Landon enjoying a hot dog after the walk. This is the Garden of Hope. Families can have a place in the garden for their child. There are some placed in honor of babies that survived their NICU stay, and there are some in memory of babies that only got to spend a short time here on earth.Logan's picture is in the bottom row! Do you see him? His is the fourth one from the left.
Our sweet little piece of Heaven. Oh, how we are ready to see him again!

This sweet little brother was saying Logan's name all morning...and I LOVED it!!

Warm Weather

The weather was warm last week, so Landon and I spent lots of time outside in the afternoons.
It was warm enough that Landon was able to play with the water table that he received for his birthday! This warm weather is really making me wish that summer was just a bit closer.

Sneaky

Today when we got home from church I went to change out of my church clothes while Landon was playing in the living room...or so I thought! While I was in my bedroom, I noticed that it was unusually quite in the house so I went to check on Landon and this is what I saw... This was the look I got when I said, "What are you doing?" He knew that he wasn't supposed to be eating candy! The sneaky little boy was sitting at the table eating chocolate eggs out of his Easter basket!! There was chocolate all over his hands, shirt, and face!!
It was just too funny!! Good thing we had already had lunch!!

Backward Pants

After changing Landon's diaper the other day, I told him to put his pants back on (since he is Mr. Independent)...
and this is how he put them on!!

I thought it was so cute...he was so proud of himself! So, of course we left them that way for the rest of the evening!

Easter Sunday

What a busy Easter weekend with my 2 favorite boys!!
Landon woke up to his basket that the Easter Bunny left for him.
Checking out his new bubbles. After Landon looked at his goodies and ate breakfast, we got ready for church. Our little family before church.

While we were getting ready for church, I was telling Landon about the meaning of Easter. I told him to say, "I love you, Jesus." & "Thank you, Jesus." I didn't think he was paying much attention to me during our little talk, however, during the middle of church Landon said, "Thank you, Jesus." It was so sweet, my eyes filled up with tears.

After church we headed to the country to spend Easter with my Grandmother, aunts, and cousins. There were enough kids there to have an egg hunt for the older group of kids and the younger group.

Looks like he is trying to figure out what is in that egg. He is probably hoping that it is 'M's' (M&M's).

Landon enjoyed getting dirty and playing with dump trucks. Landon and his cousin, Cooper, filled the back of their dump trucks with dirt, and then they would push their trucks around the yard. They were so cute. Landon just did whatever Cooper did. Cooper is about 1 year older than Landon.

There goes Cooper with his load of dirt.

And Landon is not following too far behind with his load of dirt. They were so cute playing together.

Just a couple of handsome boys. Being outside with all the trees sure does make for some nice pictures.

Aunt Linda with Cooper.

It was nice sitting and relaxing outside most of the afternoon. After we left the country, we headed north to visit David's Grandmother for a little bit. She is always so sweet, so it was nice to drop in and visit her. We also stopped to visit Logan's grave. There were some grass clippings on the edge of Logan's headstone, so Landon helped me clean it off. It was a sweet way to end a great day.

Egg Hunt and Egg Decorating

A church in our neighbor hosts an egg hunt each year for our subdivision, and there are close to 9,000 eggs to be hunted! Landon is ready to go!Look at all those eggs. Landon was in the group 3 years and under.

Landon enjoyed hunting eggs, and he still hasn't figured out that the stuff inside the eggs is candy!! I'm so thankful for that! If there were Hershey miniatures in there he would definitely know what those are. I have a little dish of Hershey miniatures sitting on a table, and he sometime will go stand by the table and say, "please." He would also know M&M's if he saw those in there too!!
When we got home from the egg hunt we dyed eggs!!

Of course, the first color that Landon would want to choose to dye his egg would be none other than, YELLOW!!

We made a wet mess, but had a great time!!

Landon was writing his name on some of the eggs. He would write and say, "o, a, m, d".

I have lots of pictures from Easter day, and I will try to post those early in the week!

Flip Flops

Landon got a new pair of flip flops, and he does NOT like them at all!!!

It was a struggle to even get one flip flop on. He kept telling me, "sock on." He finally sat down and took it off, and tried putting the flip flops in the trash!!When David came home, I had him try to convince Landon to wear them. He was able to get both flip flops on him, and Landon cried and cried. He wouldn't even take a step with them on. He finally sat down and took them off. Then he brought them to me and said, "these stink" and he went to his room and put them in his closet! Ha! I guess we are going to have to make him wear them for a few minutes a day until he gets used to them. He does not like getting new shoes at all!!
I know it is terrible of me to put pictures of Landon crying on here, but really the whole situation is just too funny!! I love his little personality!!
