Busy, yet relaxing weekend...

On Saturday, we woke our little elf selves up early to help Santa hand out presents to the children at JPS hospital. The children started lining up to receive their present at 4:00am. For some of the children, this is the only present that they will get this Christmas. It was so wonderful seeing the families faces light up when they received their gift. This was such a wonderful experience for us and we can't wait to do it again next year. We are truly blessed. To see an article about the event click here.

Saturday evening we went to the annual Christmas party at our neighbor's house. As we were all gathered around visiting, we heard several LOUD knocks on the front door. To our surprise (or should I say to the kids surprise) a very special visitor came to see who has been naughty or nice this year!! Santa came in and sat in front of the fireplace, all the children got to sit in his lap and he gave each of them a present. I was unsure of how Landon would react to Santa. To my surprise, he LIKED him!! As the other children sat on Santa's lap, Landon, with his eye brows flexed, talked to Santa from across the room. He clearly could not wait for his turn to sit on the jolly fellows lap.

Happy Birthday Logan

Logan would have been two years old today. While I think about Logan many times throughout a regular day, on his anniversary days the thoughts are a little heavier. Although Logan was with for only a short time, he will always be a part of our family.

"Ooooo...what's this? It makes alot of noise, surely mom won't mind if I play with it."

How can Santa not be good to this cute little face?!?!

Landon loves his firetruck!! When we sit him on it, he lifts his legs up as if to say, "I'm ready to be pushed!" So, I find myself pushing him around the house while he enjoys the ride.

Landon is a little intimidated by the train that circles around the Christmas tree, which is a good thing, because it keeps him from removing the ornaments from the tree.

David was a groomsmen in his cousin Dan's wedding on Saturday. I couldn't pass up the opportunity of taking a couple of pictures of my two favorite boys.

10 Month Update

I think I start every monthly update by saying this, so I can't stop now..."has it really been 10 months?!?" It makes me sad seeing Landon growing up so fast and I wonder will I remember all the cute little faces and things that he does? At the same time it is so amazing watching him grow into a little boy.

New Happenings:

• pulls up on everything
• walks around the furniture
• stands independently for a few seconds
• claps when you say, "YAY"
• NO TEETH YET
• eats table food
• wears 12-18 month clothes
• weighed 20lbs at last wellness visit
• got a cold (getting over it now)
• loves to look out the window and talk to Coco
• gives kisses, the big open mouth slobbery ones--they're my favorite, only because they are from Landon
• loves to talk--he gets that one from his daddy
• he got his 2nd haircut from me, only because I thought the professional haircut lady could have done a better job
• favorite meal is beef hotdogs and cubes of cheddar cheese
