Big Boy!

Here are some pictures from yesterday if you need a "Landon fix". He is getting so big and changing every day. He went to sleep last night at 7:30, and at 8:45 this morning he was still sleeping!! David and I took full advantage of the extra sleep!! At 9:00 I tippy toed into his room very quietly to find him with him playing with his toes. It was so cute! He recently starting scooting and rolling around the living room. I can no longer leave the room and expect to find him in the same spot that I left him!!
So handsome.
"This finger is yummmmy!"
He looks like such a big boy in this picture. Look Grandma, he is wearing shoes!!
Sitting up with no help from mommy.Oooops...starting to fall over.

Grandpa was making Landon laugh, and all he was using was the newspaper! It was so funny watching them!

Showing Off

Landon was in a really good mood when I picked him up from his babysitter today. When we got home I placed him in his jumper. In the video he is showing off some of his jumping moves. He knew the camera was on him, so I think he was showing off! ;)

Sippy Cup

I gave Landon a sippy cup with some juice in it and he wasn't too sure what to do with it. Although, he did find out that if he chews on the spout it makes a fun squeaky noise!

Taking a bath in the sink!

New Family Pic

Albuquerque

We took a 10 hour roadtrip to Albuquerque this past week. We had a great time! The weather is so much more comfortable in NM than it is here in TX. We spent lots of time sitting outside and relaxing. Unfortunately, I was unable to get many pictures of Landon with other people. These last few weeks he has become scared of most women and is only comforted by me when other women try to hold him. It's just a phase and I know it will pass, hopefully soon! Here are some pictures from our trip... Landon with Great Grandma.
He loved taking a bath in the sink!
Look at that face...such a cutie pie!!

Playing with Grandma.

5 Month Update

Comparison picture. Landon at 5 months!Landon at 2 weeks!
5 month update:
  • Weighs 15 pounds at last doctors visit
  • Wears 3-6 months clothes
  • He is terrified by loud noises (Daddy's sneezes, vacuum, blow dryer, lawn mower)
  • He eats food--he has had carrots and squash so far, and he loves carrots
  • He rolls over from stomach to back with no problem
  • He can sit up for a few seconds before falling over
  • Sleeps through the night, he goes to bed about 8 pm and wakes up around 7am
  • Takes 2 long naps each day and a cat nap in the evening
  • Loves going swimming at the pool
  • Loves to talk and babble and when he gets excited he screams with joy
  • He loves to be outside
  • No teeth yet, but plenty of drool
  • His eyes are still blue and his hair is still light brown
  • Loves bath time with his little duckie

Just Landon

4th Of July!!

On the 4th, we went to the town parade!! It was a very small parade, but it was still fun!! That evening our cul-de-sac had a cook-out with a bounce house for the kids, horse shoes for the adults, and lots of food. Unfortunately, Landon fell asleep before the shooting off of fireworks. Since he is afraid of loud noises (vacuum, blow dryer, lawn mower, etc...) my guess is that he would not like the loud noise of the fireworks going off anyway!

Botanic Gardens

We woke up this morning and out of the blue David said, "Let's go to the Botanic Gardens!". I was a little hesitant at first since I am such a planner, but after a few convincing words from David I agreed to go. We fed Landon, got dressed and went. We had never been before so we didn't really know what to expect. When we got there we stopped at the office and got a visitors map. It is as they call it, an "outdoor library of plants". It has 109 acres of gardens and natural settings. It is the perfect place for taking some great pictures, so that is just what we did!! Enjoy...

Lazy Summer Days!

Landon with his puppy that he got this past weekend when we went shopping with Aunt Char.

Landon trying to sit up on his own--notice my hand on the side of the picture--I was trying to catch him before he fell backwards.
"Look, I am sitting up all by myself!"
