Look at this little man...isn't he the cutest little scarecrow that you have ever seen?!?! Landon had a Halloween party at school today and he dressed up as a scarecrow. He was so funny in his costume, he would stomp around and listen to the hay (raffia) shake--he thought it was so funny!! He had a good day at school. All the classes went trick-or-treating around the school.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Landon's school is having a Pumpkin Decorating Contest this week and each family is encouraged to decorate a pumpkin for the contest. The pumpkins will line the halls of his school all week. We decided to paint our pumpkin to look like ELMO. With all the kiddos at Landon's school, it should definitely be a hit and win first place, right?!? We had such a great time painting this pumpkin together and little man got so into the painting...it was serious business to him!! He was so cute!!
ELMO is drying overnight...I will take pictures of Landon with the finished product and get them posted later in the week!!
Blue Angels
Every year the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds perform a show very close to our house. This year the Blue Angels came and delivered another great performance!! Yesterday, David went with a friend to watch the airshow while Landon and I stayed home and watched it from a distance in our driveway. Landon LOVED it!! He did get a little scared when they flew right over our house after a stunt (our house was a good distance away from the actual show for them to turn around at)...I have to admit that I did too--they were flying so low as they flew over!! Since Landon enjoyed it so much yesterday, we decided that we would take him closer to the show and let him watch the performance today as well. Again, he was mesmerized!! Maybe we have a future pilot on our hands?!?!

Pumpkin Patch
I LOVE the pumpkin patch!! It's so much fun and I'm so glad that we have decided to make it a yearly tradition. Last year when we took Landon he wasn't walking yet, and this year he was running everywhere. He was running so much that it was hard for me to take pictures of him. And forget about getting him to look at the camera...not gonna happen! Ha! We woke up this morning and got some things done around the house and decided that we would go to the pumkin patch after Landon's nap...well little did we know that he would take a 4 hour nap--CRAZY!! At least he was well rested for all the pumpkin fun! And another bonus...the weather was gorgeous!

The Many Faces of Landon
Grandpa Comes To Town...
My dad had to make a trip up here, so on his way home he stayed with us for the night. I'm so glad that he did too, because it has been way too long since we have seen him. I just wish that my mom could have came too. While he was here we took him to Babes for dinner...I just love that place! There was a town celebration going on, so while we waited for our table we looked around at the booths. We stopped to look at the town fire trucks and a fireman was handing out fire hats. I had to take a picture of my little fireman. Dad really enjoyed Babes, so we will definitely have to go back!

MEND
On Saturday, we attended a remembrance ceremony that was hosted by MEND (Mothers Enduring Neonatal Death). We go every year in memory of Logan, it is one of our ways of keeping his memory alive. This is the third year that we have been and each year it is just so touching and peaceful. It has almost been three years since Logan went to Heaven. I miss Logan very much, but the memories that I have of him are so sweet. I sometimes still cry when I think of him and I often wonder what he would be like if he were still here with us. I always think that as each year passes it will get easier--and it does, but each year as the holidays approach my heart does get a little heavier. The loss of Logan has made me appreciate life more and I do not take one second with Landon for granted. Even the simplest things make me smile...seeing Landon in my rear view mirror as he sits in his car seat brings me so much joy. Shortly after losing Logan, I remember driving in my car feeling as if something was missing...I would look in my rear view mirror hoping to see Logan in a car seat only to see nothing but an empty seat. Logan never rode in my car, but this weighed so heavily on me. We are so blessed to have more than this life here on earth--I can't wait until we are all together.
The ceremony takes place outside the church on a hill and in the church foyer tables are set up for families to display mementos of their lost babies. This year we brought Logan's picture and his memory book.
During the ceremony a storm started to blow in and it started raining, so the ceremony was completed inside the church.
This kid is just so darn cute!!
Fortunately the storm blew over and we were still able to do the balloon release. There were so many balloons--look at all the blue ones--there must be lots of little boys in Heaven for Logan to play with.
Landon and I getting ready to release our balloons.
These are the 2 balloons from Landon and I going up to Logan. Daddy was busy handing out balloons to the families, so his went up a little later than ours.
