Balloon Video

David brought a balloon home the other day, and Landon loved it!! He laughed and played for the longest time with it. Here is a video of him playing with it!

Playing

I have been so busy getting ready for the new school year that I have not had any time to post. I have been taking pictures, just no time to post. Landon has been in such a good mood lately--he is always happy and so much fun. The babysitter called me yesterday during one of my meetings to tell me that Landon was being hilarious while eating his lunch. She took a video of him so that I could see it, it was so cute!! He was eating apples and they must have been pretty tart, because after taking a bite he would suck his lips in, close his eyes, and shiver. So funny!

Sleepy Little Boy

Landon went to bed last night at 6:45, and it took several attempts of fun games to keep him awake until then. I just knew that if I put him to bed that early he would wake up super early too. The complete opposite happend. At 7:45am I went into his room to check on him and he was still asleep--a hard sleep too. I rubbed his legs, said his name, sang a "good morning" song--nothing worked. He moved a little bit, just enough to put his arm in front of his face.

He finally rolled over after all of my pestering! He must get his sleeping habits from his Aunt Char & Aunt Brit.

Watching The Game With Dad

David's favorite time of year is about to begin; football time. He can't wait to take Landon to football games, of course this year he will be too small. So, they are going to do the next best thing, watch football in the recliner together. Here they are watching a REDSKIN pre-season game together.

Bath Time Fun!!

Landon loves taking a bath!! He loves his rubber ducky and he thinks it is so funny when I say, "Quack, quack". I gave him a wind up fish that swims in his water, but he likes his ducky much better.

Playing

I got Landon a "shape sorter" toy and he really seems to like it. He doesn't know that he is supposed to sort the shapes just yet, but he does like to bang the shapes together inside the bucket and see what kind of noises he can make. He is so much fun, I can't believe that he is already 6 months old! I guess the old saying is true: time flies when you are having fun!

6 Month Update

6 Month Update:

• Weighed 17lbs. 3oz. at last doctors visit
• He is 28 inches tall--the doctor said he might be a basketball player!
• Can sit up independently
• Rolls from front to back and back to front
• Scoots around the room on his back
• Likes to play with his feet
• He is very vocal
• Likes to play pat-a-cake
• No teeth yet!
• Eats two meals a day; loves carrots, green beans, squash, cantaloupe, watermelon, and bananas
• Loves to sleep!
• Loves being outside
  

Great Grandparents

Landon's Great Grandparents came for a visit today. We had a nice lunch and some quality visiting. Landon was a little shy at first with Grandmother & Ike, but eventually opened up. It was a good day!

I was cleaning out Landon's closet, storing away all the things that he no longer fits into (sniff, sniff), and getting ready to wash all the things that he will be able to wear soon. While I was doing this I found this adorable teddy bear jacket that my friends from school gave to Landon when he was born. It fits him perfectly now, which means he will probably be too big for it this winter. :( Since he probably won't be able to wear it this winter, I put it on him and took tons of pictures!! I absolutely love this little jacket--not only is it so cute, it is so soft and cuddly. Landon loved it too, even if it was over 100 degrees outside!!

"Okay Mommy, I'm ready to take this adorable jacket off--it is 105 degrees outside!!"

Nap Time...What's That??

I put Landon down for a nap and left the room. Usually he goes right to sleep without any problems. Well today, I heard him talking and playing a few minutes after putting him down, so I peeked in his room and saw his face smashed against the rails and he was looking around. It was definitely a picture moment, so I ran and got the camera. This is what I saw...

"Please mommy, let me out of here--I'm really not tired!"

Backyard Fun

Landon looks a little unsure of Coco, but he really isn't scared of him at all. Landon laughs and thinks it is so funny when Coco barks. Landon thinks it is funny when Coco sneezes too!

David thought it would be funny if Landon got to "ride" on Coco's back. Coco wasn't too amused with the idea; he would either sit down or roll over onto his back.
