The Last Week......

BUSY........that pretty much sums up our first week of school!! Here a few pics from the last week, and now that we are settling back into the routine of the "real world" I will hopefully be better about updating!

My little fireman! Isn't he cute?!!?

Little Gym

Landon had his last Little Gym class for the summer semester the other night. When we started the semester, Landon was the sweet little boy that would not participate in the activities unless I was right beside him...by the end of the semester, he was a confident and risk-taking little boy that wanted to do everything independently!Landon doing donkey kicks!

Just a swinging!

I'm so proud of him and all that he is!

Back In The Swing of Things

David and I officially went back to work on Tuesday! I'm so excited about moving up a few grade levels. Being with my new team and looking at the new curriculum just feels so right to me...I like that feeling...it's going to be a great year!!
My mom and sisters came up for the weekend to visit. Landon LOVES all the attention he gets when they are here. If one of them is out of his sight when they are here he wants to know where they are! This sweet little guy went back to the sitters this week and it is a big transition for both of us! I'm not sure who it is harder on--me or him?!?! He cries each morning when I leave and it just breaks my heart. His sitter, LaShawn, says that he calms down a few minutes after I leave. LaShawn has been sending me a picture of him after I get to work to let me know that he has calmed down! He is usually cheesin' for the camera or playing with toys--it definitely brightens my day to see his sweet face during the work day.

Girls Night Out

Our girls night was just what we needed before starting the new school year!

We started the day poolside (no pics--sorry)! It was so wonderful to lay in the sun and have someone bring you cold fruity drinks!! After hanging at the pool we got dressed and headed to dinner. Here we all are at dinner.

Jennifer and Cyndee standing on our balcony.

After dinner we headed to the top of the parking garage for fireworks. The Gaylord has fireworks every Friday night during the summer!

This picture pretty much sums us up! We always have such a good time when we are together! I'm going to miss working with these sweet girls this year!

Girls Night Out

Tonight is Girls Night Out!! Last school year I worked with some wonderful kindergarten teachers, we truly worked so well together! Tonight we are going to stay at the Gaylord. We plan on hanging by the pool, going out for dinner, and who knows what else! No matter what we do we always have so much fun together. This will only be the second time that I have stayed away from Landon. The first time was last year when we did this same girls trip.

The Kindergarten Dream Team
I'm going to miss these girls this year when I am teaching second grade! Thankfully, we are all still at the same school!

Happy Saturday

We have had a pretty nice little Saturday. David spent the day in WF doing some odd jobs for some old customers and helping out his grandmother. Landon and I woke up early and played outside before it got too hot. Later we went to McDonalds for lunch with some friends and that place was CRAZY!!!!!!!!! We sat in the play area and kids were everywhere...screeching kids, crying kids, LOTS of kids. Landon opted to stay close to me and be an observer, and I was totally okay with that!! We then spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool! Fun times!!Today was our first day out of the house since we started potty training. Landon told me that he needed to go potty while we were in a store, so we went...but he was too scared to "go". Poor little guy. He stayed dry until we got home.
Yep, that's my big boy!

Such a cutie!
Landon's nap map for the babysitter's house arrived in the mail, and it is so cute! The mat, blanket, and pillow are all attached so it makes it easy for everyone!
And Landon loves it too!Doesn't this happy face just steal your heart?!?! It does mine.

Hot Summer Days

We had a "stay at home day" today and it was so nice. We played games, read books, colored, and cleaned. We practiced using the potty a whole lot, too! Landon continues to do well...he only had one accident today! I'm so proud of him!
This face cracks me up! Landon is eating a banana or a "mana" as he calls them. We did go outside early this morning to play for a little bit before it got too hot! The high today in Fort Worth was 108!! That is so crazy to me!!
These hot temperatures are making me ready for some crisp fall air and some yummy smelling autumn scented candles.

Tonight, as I was making Landon and I a bowl of ice cream I told him that he was my favorite boy and that daddy was my favorite boy too. Landon's reply, "No, daddy's stinky!" Ha! The things he says cracks us up!! I had to call David to tell him and he thought it was so funny!

Potty Time

So we are officially on day 2 of potty training!! Landon has only had 2 accidents and they were both this morning. I set a timer for 20 minutes and when he hears the timer go off he runs to the bathroom and says, "POTTY TIME!"Here is Landon getting some praises from daddy. Don't you just love the shirt tucked into his underwear!!

Potty training has been something that I have been so nervous about because everyone says that boys are so hard to train, but honestly it hasn't been bad at all. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next few days go as smoothly as the last two have. I'm so proud of my big boy!!

The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette/Bachelor is pretty much the only show that I watch. Each week when it comes on my best friend Tandy and I text each other throughout the show with our opinions...it's so fun! David thinks we are crazy! Ha!My friend, Audra, had a Bachelorette Season Finale watching at her house so these two sweet boys stayed home for a "guys night" while I went to watch the show. It's much more fun to watch the show with a group of girls...we had a great time!

I really don't think Ali could have went wrong with either guy, they were both a good catch!

While I was away this cute little guy got into some mischief! Yep, hard to believe this sweet little guy could do something wrong, right? Well....it all started when David was on the phone with his grandmother...Landon was playing with his light saber and knocked over a Scentsy warmer. Warm wax was flowing everywhere!! So, as David is cleaning up the wax, Landon is still playing with his light saber and gets tangled up in the dining room curtains and pulls them off the wall! Poor David. Landon did both of these things on accident, but they were both pains to fix. David said he spent the entire evening cleaning up wax and fixing curtains! Hopefully, he won't cringe the next time I need to leave the house alone. Ha!

Random Stuff

Wow!! I can't believe it has been close to 2 weeks since my last post! This past week has been so busy. Nothing too exciting going on...just regular summer fun...little gym, pool time, and lots of playing. We got home from NM last Saturday and today has been the first time I took my camera out since our trip. I know Landon has NEVER gone that long without a camera in his face, he probably appreciated the little picture break! Ha!
We have spent the past two days swimming at the pool with friends and we are just worn out. Landon went to bed super early tonight. Last night we got a sitter and went to a wine bar with some friends. It was so fun! It was a much needed kid-free night!

Landon has been eating black olives like crazy lately! He LOVES them!! I really have to limit him because he would probably eat the whole jar in one sitting...he loves them that much!

Tonight he was eating them and put them on the tips of his fingers and pretended they were his fingernails! So silly!

I can't believe that our summer break is coming to an end soon! Time seems to fly by when you have kids. I have LOVED spending ALL of my time with Landon. We made lots of special memories as a family this summer! I'm really going to miss summer once school starts, but I am beginning to get the itch to get back into a routine.

Hopefully, I will be a better blogger this week and post lots of pictures of my sweet boy!
