Pancakes

I love Spring Break!  I love sleeping past 5:30 a.m., watching morning cartoons, and making a fun breakfast for my sweet boy!
We were watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so we decided to make Mickey Mouse pancakes!  Yummy!
I love this sweet boy.  :)

Spring Break

Landon and I went to my mom and dad's house for a few days at the beginning of Spring Break.  We did some shopping and lots of visiting.
Landon was spoiled as always.  Grandma gave him his Easter gift early because we probably won't get to see them Easter Sunday.
Aunt Charley's boyfriend has a little boy that is just a few weeks older than Landon and they had the best time together.  They had scooter races through the house for hours.  Thankfully nothing broke and no one got hurt.
Silly boys!  :)

Sweetness

This past weekend we went to visit Landon's new cousin, Connor.  He was just 8 days old and oh so tiny and sweet!
As soon as we got to Sean and Ariana's house Landon wanted to hold baby Connor.  He was intrigued by how tiny his hands and feet were.
These sweet baby was absolutely precious...I could have stared at him all day long!

Visit

I haven't been very good about blogging the past couple of months or taking pictures for that matter.  I love recording our memories here on the blog, so I am going to try to be better about doing it.

David's dad came in for a few days last week to go to Mavericks vs. Celtics game with David.  While he was here they went to several sporting events, so they were pretty much on the go the entire visit.
They did take a little break to play Memory and Go Fish with Landon!
Landon and I went to a Dallas Stars game with them.
Landon had fun at the game and was really into all the music and clapping.  He likes the Stars and the past few days he has been using his bat as a hockey stick around the house.  :)

Home Depot

David took Landon to Home Depot last Saturday to check on their classes for kids and they had one going on, so David and Landon were able to join in.
Landon received this apron and each time he goes to a class there he is supposed to wear it and he'll get a pin to put on it showing what classes he has attended.
Landon made me a memory box that says "I love Mom".  So sweet and a definite keepsake.

These classes at Home Depot are available on the first Saturday of every month from 9-12.  They are come & go and best of all they are FREE!!

Birthday

Mom, Dad, and Aunt Brittney came up to help us celebrate Landon's birthday!  I'm so glad they came because it just made the day that more special for Landon.
As soon as mom and dad got to our house they wanted Landon to open his birthday presents.
He got a Hot Wheels track that attaches to the wall.  Landon LOVES it!
Aunt Brittney made Landon this precious pillow case.  Such a special gift!  Aunt Brittney has a goal of making all the gifts that she gives this year...such a great idea!
Aunt Charley couldn't make the trip, but she did get Landon a pretty cool Spider Man coloring book where Landon is the main character!
After he opened some of his birthday presents he opened his Valentine's Day present.  Yes, the grandparents and aunts never fail to spoil the little guy!
One thing Landon did ask us for was a wallet, so here he is with his wallet in his back pocket.  :)
Originally, he had asked us if he could have a purse for his birthday, but David quickly chimed in and told him that boys carry wallets!  Ha!
Grandpa and Aunt Britt set up his new wall track.
They had fun racing different cars down the track.
We woke up Sunday morning and headed to church.
One of Landon's favorite foods is pizza, so after church we picked up pizzas for lunch.  After we ate our pizza it was time for cake and ice cream.
Landon wanted a 'farm' birthday cake, so I gathered up some of his farm toys and put them on top of his cake.

Another request of Landon's was to have a pinata on his birthday, so I found a cute little cow that we filled with candy.
Landon gave it a few hits but nothing happened.
Grandma joined in for a few swings.
 Aunt Brittney's turn.
Grandpa gave the bat a few swings, too!
I'm so glad that Landon wanted a pinata.  We had the best time with it and did lots of laughing.

 Our sweet 4 year old!
I still can't believe that he is FOUR?!?!
Landon got to open his birthday presents from David and me.
He got a couple new toys for his Zhu-Zhu pet and a DS game.

Landon had a great birthday weekend and we're so blessed to be his parents.

4 Years

Our sweet boy is 4 years old today!  He is the light of our lives.  He is caring, tender, kind, funny, rambunctious, smart, silly, and he is more than we could have ever asked for!
Landon loves his friends and talks about them in such a kind way.  He has a very tender heart and doesn't like anything or anyone to get hurt.  He can be seen on the soccer field giving hugs to his friends rather than kicking the soccer ball.
Opposite of his sweet and tender side he also has a feisty side, too!  When something doesn't go his way, he is quick to let you know and can be quite the stubborn little guy.  I pray that he will be able to use this quality in a positive way one day.
He is super funny and cracks us up many times throughout the day.
He is a smart little boy that loves to figure out how things work and move.  He loves his books and can't go to bed without me reading a book or two or three each night.  He loves to 'read' by himself.  I catch him reading books, magazines, and instructions to games.
He loves to be silly and play games that he has made up.  He likes to dance around but only if someone will join in with him.
He can also be a rambunctious little boy...especially around his grandparents and friends.  He gets so excited sometimes that he has a hard time controlling his excitement.

Happy Birthday, Landon!
We love you!

Memories

Seriously, what did we do before Pinterest???
I was browsing around on Pinterest the other night and found this idea to use a tote to keep your child's school memories organized.  So neat and super simple to create.
There is a file folder for Preschool all the way to twelfth grade.
His preschool file doesn't just have preschool stuff in it...I put things that he created since he was a toddler in there, including the first time he wrote his name and drew a stick figure.  :)
The labels were already made for each grade level, I just had to print them off and stick them on the folder, and once Landon gets to that particular grade I will glue a school picture beside the label.
