Pool Time!!

I had a meeting to go to this morning, and as soon as I got home we ate a quick lunch and headed to the pool. What else is there to do in these HOT temperatures?!?!
I got to take pictures and relax at the pool. It was so nice to hang out and let David be "in charge". Usually Landon and I go to the pool by ourselves and I always feel like I am chasing Landon from the splash area to the big pool....so it was nice to sit and soak up the sun!! Thanks David!!

Something about playing in the water makes a person hungry...at least it makes me hungry!! So Landon is enjoying a graham cracker before heading home. When we got home I took Landon's swim shirt off and noticed how tan his arms looked. So, I had to get a picture of the boys with their farmer tans!!

This boy was so silly all day long...he was full of giggles from the time he woke up until the time he went to bed!!

Play Date

Yesterday Amanada and Ava came for a visit. We had lunch, a nice visit, and got to watch the kids play. They were so cute together, they would run around and giggle at each other. Ava has such a fun personality and we truly enjoyed their visit. We need to do it more often. To see more pics of the duo you can check out Amanda's blog by clicking HERE.
Unfortunately, we didn't break out the cameras until the end of the visit. By this time the kiddos were tired and wanted to snuggle with their blankets on the floor. They were just the cutest things all day!!

Here is a picture of Ava and Landon on our last visit. Amanda is expecting a little boy in August, so our next visit will include the new mister!! Can't wait to meet him, I know that he will be just as precious as Ava!!

We're Fixed!!

I can finally upload pictures, so keep on scrolling down for pics of the little man, there are pictures below the "Bummer" post too!! While I was making Landon's breakfast yesterday morning Landon came into the kitchen with his blanket and George (his stuffed Monkey that gets more hugs from Landon than I do). I thought it was pretty cute!
Landon then had to give George some hugs.

Not only did Landon want George to eat breakfast with him, he wanted him there for lunch too! Landon would lean over and give George bites of his food and say "mmmm".

Here is the injury Landon got when the table toppled over on to him. :(

Bummer...

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. For some reason I am not able to upload pictures to any sites. I can upload pictures to my computer, but nothing beyond that. I have deleted cookies, changed settings, and uninstalled programs to no avail. I didn't realize just how much I love blogging until now--it's just not the same without pictures. So be on the look out for picture overload once the problem gets fixed. We had a busy busy weekend and I have tons of cute pics from that....can't wait to share!! Today is Landon's last day of swim lessons, he has really learned some things that I would have never thought to teach him. We have been spending a lot of time at the pool and he loves it!! Last night Landon pulled a tall console table over on to himself...poor little guy. It is his first big (not too big, but considering he hasn't had anything beyond regular bumps and bruises) injury. He opened the drawer to the the table and tried to look inside and when he did the table toppled over on to him. The knob to the drawer landed on his little foot, so now he has a pretty good sore. We were really worried at first because it started to swell a bit and he wouldn't walk on it. After some hugs and kisses he calmed down and was able to walk and do his normal thing. We are fortunate that the knob didn't hit him anywhere else. Now there are gates keeping him out of the formal living area...yuck!! Gates are not my favorite things, but if it is for the safety of Landon I am okay with it...for now. :) Stay tuned for pictures of the little man!!

Get Together, Baptism, Birthday Party, & Cookout...

We had a very busy weekend and the McDonough's had an even busier weekend since they were the hosts of all of these events. Friday night several of us neighbors gathered at the McDonough's for pizza--yum yum!! That was the big kick-off for the rest of the busy weekend!! Saturday night was their son Luke's baptism followed by dinner at a great Italian restaurant. Sunday during the day was their son Nicholas' birthday party, and Sunday night they had all the neighbors over for a cookout--they must be completely worn out!! I know we were!!

"Did you say, 'we're going to eat cake and do some dancing?'"

Luke's God parents live in NY and were unable to make it down for his baptism, so David and I stood in for them. Thank you Danny and Beth for allowing us to be a part of your special day.

After the baptism Danny and Beth treated everyone to a great Italian dinner.

Yep, that is little man double fistin' the cake!

After dinner the pianist entertained the kids and the adults stayed entertained with some silly kid dancing moves!! It was a good time and this guy was great!

Landon even got to show off some of his dancing moves!!

It was a busy, yet fun weekend. Thanks Danny and Beth!!

Swim Lessons

Landon and I had our first mommy & me swim lesson this morning! He totally wanted to sleep in this morning too. :( After he ate his breakfast we were out the door. There were 2 other little ones in the class with us. The water was SO cold at first, but it eventually warmed up...it was a cloudy morning with no sun. Today was mostly about making them comfortable in the water--Landon had a good time and as soon as we got home he was ready for a nap!!
Little man must be wondering what swim lesson are...while he was eating his breakfast I told him that when he finished we were going to swim lessons. He kept saying, "huh?" and "oh"."Come on mom, let's go!!"

Harley Visits the Brewer's

What a great way to start our first official day of summer...Tandy and Harley came!! Tandy and I always wait way too long to see each other, we really need to work on that. Anyway, it was so great to see them, Harley has changed so much since I saw her last and she is just as adorable as ever!! Landon was a little cranky and very clingy...he is teething and just wants his mama. However, we did have fun and we need to plan these visits more often.

Tandy and Harley...no that is not Tandy's bow, she is wearing Harley's bow since Harley always rips it out of her own hair!

Landon being a sweet boy by showing Harley how to put the balls in the dinosaur. Harley really liked the dinosaur.

Cute kiddos!!

Outside Fun...

School was officially out on Friday!! YEAH!! I am so ready to spend the whole live long days with Landon and David!! Friday was also Landon's last day with the babysitter. She will no longer be babysitting, so she sold (at a VERY cheap price!!) some of her outside toys to me. Landon finally has a little tikes red and yellow car that he has wanted for some time now, and he also has a little climbing/slide thing. He loves them and would spend hours and hours outside playing with them if we would let him.

Calculator Phone...

Landon's new favorite word is "hello". If he sees a phone, sees anything similar to a phone, or hears a phone he says "hewo". It is just the cutest thing! He fished a calculator out of a drawer and used that as his phone this evening--silly boy!! I just love him so much, sometimes I feel like I am going to burst!!

Ohio

Friday afternoon we flew to Ohio for Brandon's graduation. Landon did wonderful on his first trip in an airplane. We even got a few compliments on how great he did...I did all my worrying for nothing. I had never been to Ohio before this trip, all the green trees and grass was so pretty. Landon got to see his 5 cousins that he hasn't seen in almost a year. Stephen took care of him like a little mother hen, it was so sweet. I think all the cousins had fun seeing Landon, they were all so gentle and sweet to him. I know Landon had fun seeing them!!

The hotel that we stayed at had a cute little house behind it that served a wonderful breakfast. The scenery around the little house was so peaceful and calm, there were plants, flowers, a small walking pathway. The picture above was taken in front of the house that serves breakfast.
Landon loves it outside, so he enjoyed walking around the little paths. On Saturday, we went to Kings Island, it is an amusement park similar to Six Flags. Landon and Kyle spent some time in kiddie land riding some rides. It was so cute watching Landon be so independent and "big". I think I was more scared than he was. Ha!
I did get to ride a few of the kiddie rides with Landon. Here we (David too) are riding in a helicopter. Landon was just hanging out.

Landon had fun riding the horses on the carousel. We rode it several times during the course of the day!! Landon always seemed a little frightened until it started going, then after that he really enjoyed it!

Landon and Kyle were so cute riding in this jeep together. In the picture above it looks as if Kyle is giving Landon some tips on how to drive.
Such a big boy!!
We had a great day at King's Island, despite the fact that we got stuck in the park during a huge storm!! The storm came at the end of the day just before the park was closing. Security put us in a storage closet in a candy shop because there was a tornado warning!! We all made it out okay and will look back and laugh at the craziness that went on!!
Sunday we went to church and then Bryan drove David and I around to look at Mason while Landon took a nap at the house with Grandma and Grandpa.

Kyle giving Murtle the Turtle hugs.

Grandma and Grandpa with the graduation boy!

Our family with Brandon before his graduation.

Kyle and Landon.Brandon with his mom. She has four more high school graduations to go!!Stephen totally looking as if he would rather being doing other things besides getting his picture taken.

Unfortunately, we did not get to go the actual graduation due to our flight schedule, but it was nice being there for Brandon's graduation weekend. Our flight home was a little delayed, but we made it home safely late Sunday night.

This was Landon soon after we arrived home from the airport...he was one tired little boy!!
