Cowtown Marathon

I have been a terrible blogger lately! I went on a bloggy break and didn't really even mean to. We have just been so busy the past week or so that I haven't had much computer time at all. Anyway, last Saturday David and I ran the 10K in the Cowtown Marathon, and it was such a great experience. I was a little nervous about running a 10K, because I don't typically run that far (I have always been a runner, just never more than 3 miles at a time), but it wasn't so bad. I think I want to do the half marathon (13.1 miles) next year.

Here we are bright and early in the morning (6am to be exact) before leaving for the race.

Here we are back at home after the race. Our sweet little high school neighbor, Katie, came over to stay with Landon while we were at the race. He was asleep when she came over, and I was so nervous about him getting upset when he woke up and he didn't see David or me. He did just the opposite. Katie said that he started laughing when she went to get him out of his bed. Ha!Little man and me after the race.

You can see me crossing the finish line about 15 seconds into the video (I'm on the far right in my white sweatshirt), and about 15 seconds later you will see David crossing the finish line (he is the one in all black towards the left). And I did say '15 seconds later you will see David', because...I BEAT DAVID!!!!! David and I have been giving each other a hard time about who would cross the finish line first, and I love pestering him about because he gets so fired up!
