Throw back Thursday

Landon was around 3 months old in these pictures.

Here is sweet little Landon sitting in my lap at Cari and Joe's wedding rehearsal. Happy 1 year Anniversary Cari and Joe!! I hope you are just as happy today as you were on your wedding day.

We made tie dye shirts last year for our kindergarten students for Field Day, so I made David and Landon one too!!
Gosh, looking back on all these photos makes me realize how fast time goes by. I hardly remember when he had so little hair, and when did he grow those long eyelashes that he has now?!?! I am so thankful that I take so many pictures of the little guy!!

Wonderful Weather

This evening Landon and I spent a good portion of time out in the backyard. David had a meeting, so we enjoyed the beautiful weather--just the two of us. Landon mostly played with his bubble wand and I took pictures of the little guy!!

"Mommy, can we pleeease go outside?"

Landon is beginning to climb on things and he thought this footrest was a good thing to climb on. I was close to catch him in case he started to fall.

Ok, just so you know, I was VERY close to him at this point. Little man is absolutely fearless. He did stand up for a small second until I made him sit down.
He was so proud of himself, and mommy was too of course!!

There were birds flying in and out of the backyard. Each time Landon saw or heard a bird he would say, "oh!

After a much needed bath, Landon read one of his favorite books, Toes, Ears, & Nose! After some snuggles and bedtime prayers Landon willingly went to bed, he was a tuckered out boy. It was a great evening with my little guy.

Happy Weekend

We have had a good weekend. We mostly stayed around the house and got some things done and just enjoyed each other. Saturday night we went to dinner with some good friends and came home to paint the guest bedroom. We only have the hallways left so that is good news!! Today we spent alot of time outside since the weather was absolutely gorgeous!! Landon planted some seeds in a small pot, so we are going to watch them grow, hopefully Landon has a greener thumb than I do!!:) I plan to take pictures of it as it grows and put the pictures in a book for Landon. I got the idea from http://www.productiveparenting.com/. The website is free to sign up and they email you everyday with an age appropriate activity to do each day!! So neat!!

What he really wanted to do the whole time we were planting his seeds is eat the soil. Silly boy!!

David has been making games and getting ready for Field Day at school, so Landon decided that he wanted to help. I don't know what David and I did to occupy our time before Landon came. He provides so much laughter and entertainment to us. We are so thankful for all the joy that he brings to our lives.

Teeth and Rolly Polly's

So we are finally making some serious progress in the teeth department!! YAY!! Landon now has 6 teeth!! I am totally not kidding when I say that 5 of them broke through the skin in one day!! Here are a couple of pics of the new pearly whites...

Total baby bliss!! We were running around playing chase and just being silly, such fun!! I love times like this when we run around and are silly--the giggles keep going!!
Not the best picture, but you can see his teeth!! By this time he fell to the floor in need of a breather from all of our running around.

We were on the back patio hanging out and Landon saw a rolly polly crawling around. He was bent over watching it crawl around when he lost his balance and fell head first into the cement.
:( Poor little guy, I should really say tough little guy because he hopped up without a tear. When he fell he rolled and smashed the rolly polly, so he was off to other things.

1,043 Miracle Babies

Today we went to the 19th annual baby reunion hosted by the fertility clinic that we practically lived at not too long ago. During the past 19 years, 1,043 babies have been born as a result of the procedures that very talented doctors have performed at this clinic. We didn't go to the reunion last year because Landon was a newborn, but thought that it would be fun to go this year. We got to meet some wonderful families, and I think we saw way more sets of twins than we have ever seen in one place!!! The oldest IVF baby there was an 18 year old girl, she will be going to A&M in the fall. And the youngest IVF baby there was 6 weeks old. Whether you have a baby the good old fashioned way or you go through invasive procedures, every baby is a miracle, however, I do have to say that it was comforting being surrounded by families that have walked in similar shoes as ours today. We look forward to going to the 20th baby reunion next year. Here are some pictures from the reunion...
The reunion was held at a park with a little pond that is surrounded by a walking path, it was so pretty. This is Dr. Putman. He was our doctor when we went through IVF. This man is brilliant, his credentials are pages long, but one thing that amazes me is that he holds four international patents for inventing new robotic surgical instruments--amazing!! Landon was a little frightened by him, you can tell in the picture!

My sweet boy walking around.

The baby reunion was wonderful and we look forward to it next year.
Later in the day we did some shopping and picked up a few decorative items for our newly painted house, I have to say that I do love Kirklands!! David also went ahead and took me to dinner for Mother's Day. This was my idea as I would rather not get out in the busy-ness that will be going on at the restaurants on the "real" Mother's Day. I picked a Hibachi grill that reminds me of a place that we loved when we lived in WF. It is almost as good as the place in WF so it works!! Landon loved it too--especially the noodles!

I love this kid so much, he completely melts my heart.
