March of Dimes

What a great morning filled with thousands of people supporting a great cause...the health of babies. The March of Dimes uses 77 cents of each dollar raised on research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. What a wonderful thing!! The weather was great, no wind, no rain, and cool temps--the perfect morning for a 3.5 mile walk. Not only do we love the great things that this organization does, it also allows us to keep Logan's memory alive.
Thanks Jenn, Amy, and Lilly for walking with us!

Little man just strolling along.

Logan's sign in The Garden of Hope

Yep, Landon "did it!" Logan would be proud of his little brother!
A HUGE thank you to our family and friends who supported us this year!! Thank you for giving hope to the families of babies born too soon or sick.

Toga Party

Every day is such a great day with Landon. He is so funny and I love seeing the world through his eyes. A bad day can turn great the moment I see him, he always puts a smile on my face.
He is such a happy little boy.
The other day I was taking laundry out of the dryer and Landon was helping me. He took the following piece of clothing out of the dryer and put it on all by his big boy self!! David and I joked that he looked like he was going to a toga party!!

Such a silly boy!!
Oh, on another note...Landon's 2nd tooth is starting to appear!! Over 14 months old and just now getting his 2nd tooth...crazy!! And it is a top tooth, so he will have one bottom tooth and one top tooth!! I will try to get a picture!!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, a neighborhood church hosted an egg hunt for the kids. Landon hunted eggs in the 3 and under age group. He had a lot of fun and was oh so cute with his Easter basket.

Dad held the basket and Landon would go get eggs and put them in.

When the hunt was over, Landon sat down and took all of his eggs out of his basket one at a time, then put them all back in. He liked this game, mom and dad did too, as it kept little man busy.

My two favorite boys.

Easter Egg Decorating

Landon and I decorated eggs yesterday afternoon. Landon was mostly an observer, but he did get to help a little...that is when he wasn't throwing the eggs!!

In the picture above, Landon was trying to put a sticker on his egg, but the sticker kept sticking to his finger. So, he got fed up with the sticker, and before I could stop him he ate the sticker. I tried to fish it out of his mouth to no avail. Oh well, maybe he needed a few extra nutrients. :)
Such a handsome little blessing he is.

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Here is a picture of Landon at this time last year...

Photographer in Training

Aunt Britt recently got a job with JCP in their portrait department. She has to do a certain amount of training sessions before she is released to take photos of JCP customers. So, while we were down there during spring break she asked if Landon could be part of her training. Of course, absolutely!! I love pictures of Landon!! Here are some of my favorite pics from the session...

I think aunt Britt did a super fabulous job for being in training!! Thanks aunt Britt for the great pics!!

Landon's Mom

Last week David and I went to look at a potential school for Landon for next fall. He has been with the same in home sitter since he was 9 weeks old, and we will soon be making the transition to "big school". His current babysitter is absolutely wonderful and we have been incredibly blessed to have her. She will no longer be able to babysit after the school year because she got accepted into nursing school. We are very happy for her, but will miss her. Landon really enjoys it there and is always happy when I pick him up.

David and I were very impressed with the school and decided it is where we want Landon to be next fall. It is clean, safe, Christian based, small classes, and very close to our house. When you walk into the school there is a huge mural of Jesus with little children sitting in his lap, it is so sweet. Just down the hall is where Landon's class will be. It is so strange saying that Landon will have a classroom, I didn't think I would say that until he was in kindergarten. There will be 4 kids total in Landon's class. They play games, read books, go to gym class and study a letter a week! That is so crazy to me, as just a few short years ago we taught a letter a week in kindergarten. I think Landon will be ready for all the socialization that he will get, and I can't wait to see what new things he learns!!

Today I took Landon with me to turn in his registration paperwork, and the director invited us to look at Landon's classroom. The directors daughter is also in this class, her name is Presley, and she is this chubby little girl with blonde curls--she is super cute! Landon walked right in and was very interested in the big colorful rug where I am assuming they have "carpet time". His soon to be classmates were walking around playing and seemed totally oblivious to Landon being there.

I visited for a bit with the teacher and the director while the kiddos played and Landon looked around. As we were visiting, a little boy picked up my purse, put it on his shoulder and walked off with it. The director said, "Oh look, he has Landon's moms purse!! That is so cute!!". I knew that I would lose my first name sometime during motherhood, but had no idea it would be so soon--again I thought it would happen when Landon got to kindergarten. Oh well, I don't remember the directors name either, I just know her as 'Presley's mom'.

I don't like to post without putting a pic of the little guy, so here you go...
