State Fair

We spent the entire day on Saturday at the State Fair, and it was SO crowded, however, the weather was absolutely gorgeous, so it was totally worth it!
The carousel was the only ride that we rode the whole day!! My cute little guy waiting for the dog show to start.

I think Landon's favorite part of the day was the petting zoo. He walked around with his little cup of feed acting like he owned the place! Ha!
We made it to the petting zoo pretty late in the day, so, of course, some of the animals weren't very hungry. Landon had no problem bossing them around. He would holler at the goats, "Come here!! It's time to eat!!" Then he would yell even louder when they ignored his food filled hands poking through the fence.

So sweet!
We really wanted to try some of the fried food, however, the lines were always so long for the things that we were interested in. The line for the fried cookie dough was always the longest! Doesn't fried cookie dough sound so good? It does to me!! Maybe next year!
We finished up the day watching a parade followed by a light and fireworks show. We took the train into Dallas as we knew the traffic would be horrendous. We didn't check the train schedule for the times coming home and we ended up waiting at the train station for over an hour, which made for a super late night!! We were one exhausted bunch by the time we made it home!!
