Cutest Scarecrow Ever...

Look at this little man...isn't he the cutest little scarecrow that you have ever seen?!?! Landon had a Halloween party at school today and he dressed up as a scarecrow. He was so funny in his costume, he would stomp around and listen to the hay (raffia) shake--he thought it was so funny!! He had a good day at school. All the classes went trick-or-treating around the school.

Tomorrow night we have a family Halloween party at a neighbors house. All three of us are going dressed up as CRAYONS...I can't wait to share pictures! I made Landon and David's costumes this past week, and plan on staying up late tonight to make mine!! It has been so fun making our costumes and dressing up together to a theme. I have never really been a huge fan of Halloween, but this year has been lots of fun...must be because of the cute little boy that lives with us!

Hugs

Such a sweet boy, giving George hugs. I love it when Landon gives me a hug--he squeezes me real tight and says, "ooooooh". Sometimes he will softly pat my back when he hugs me. He is pure sweetness!!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Landon's school is having a Pumpkin Decorating Contest this week and each family is encouraged to decorate a pumpkin for the contest. The pumpkins will line the halls of his school all week. We decided to paint our pumpkin to look like ELMO. With all the kiddos at Landon's school, it should definitely be a hit and win first place, right?!? We had such a great time painting this pumpkin together and little man got so into the painting...it was serious business to him!! He was so cute!!
See how serious he is?!? Such attention to detail...he was cracking us up!

ELMO is drying overnight...I will take pictures of Landon with the finished product and get them posted later in the week!!

Blue Angels

Every year the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds perform a show very close to our house. This year the Blue Angels came and delivered another great performance!! Yesterday, David went with a friend to watch the airshow while Landon and I stayed home and watched it from a distance in our driveway. Landon LOVED it!! He did get a little scared when they flew right over our house after a stunt (our house was a good distance away from the actual show for them to turn around at)...I have to admit that I did too--they were flying so low as they flew over!! Since Landon enjoyed it so much yesterday, we decided that we would take him closer to the show and let him watch the performance today as well. Again, he was mesmerized!! Maybe we have a future pilot on our hands?!?!

My two boys watching the Blue Angels.
So AWESOME!!

Pumpkin Patch

I LOVE the pumpkin patch!! It's so much fun and I'm so glad that we have decided to make it a yearly tradition. Last year when we took Landon he wasn't walking yet, and this year he was running everywhere. He was running so much that it was hard for me to take pictures of him. And forget about getting him to look at the camera...not gonna happen! Ha! We woke up this morning and got some things done around the house and decided that we would go to the pumkin patch after Landon's nap...well little did we know that he would take a 4 hour nap--CRAZY!! At least he was well rested for all the pumpkin fun! And another bonus...the weather was gorgeous!

Landon kept trying to pick up a pumpkin and each time he would say, "uuuuhhhh" as if he was using every muscle in his body.

Landon and I rode the mini train since the hayride kept getting stuck in the mud. I was a little bummed that we didn't get to go on the hayride. After standing in a long line for 30 minutes and only moving up a few inches, I decided that it just wasn't worth it. Hopefully next year Landon will get to go on the hayride.

This picture is pure happiness...I love it!
One tuckered out little boy...even after a 4 hour nap!! What a great afternoon!
