Love

Happy Valentine's Day!

David and I celebrated Valentine's Day Saturday night. We got a babysitter and enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Mi Cocina with three other couples. It wasn't romantic as most V-Day dinners are, but we had a great time none-the-less. So very thankful for great friends!

One of my students gave me the stuffed bear that Landon is holding and he has been hugging on it since we've been home!

"Cheese!"
We hope you are having a Happy Valentine's Day!

Fingers Crossed

It looks like another snow storm is on its way and I have to admit that my fingers are crossed for another snow day(s)!! My favorite weather man, Pete Delkus, said that he would "be shocked if there was school on Wednesday." So, tonight I'm not packing lunches, laying clothes out, or working on school stuff...and it feels great!
I had to put this pic of Landon laying around in his cowboy boots, because last week during our snow days he would snuggle up under a blanket with his boots on! Silly boy!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Landon!

Happy 3rd Birthday to the sweetest little boy I know!! Three years ago this little ray of sunshine was brought into our lives and we couldn't have been more thankful for his healthy arrival. I was really hoping to get out of the house today for a fun lunch to celebrate, but I'm not so sure that is going to happen with this crazy weather. Although we may be stuck inside the house today, I am going to do whatever I can to make sure that this little boy feels super special today. Last night I told him that his birthday was in the morning and he said, "Again?" Ha!! He must be so confused since we have been celebrating for the past couple of weeks.
Happy 3rd Birthday, Landon!!

SNOW!!

So we are on day #4 of NO SCHOOL due to icy roads and snow!! I'm loving every minute of being cooped up with my favorite little guy!! Too bad David isn't here with us to partake in the fun....he is helping out a friend with his business to prepare for the Super Bowl.
We woke up to snow, about 6 inches give or take! I couldn't wait for it to stop snowing so that Landon and I could go play in it. Last year Landon didn't like the snow, however, this year was very different...YEAH!! He had a blast playing in it!
He also had a blast eating it!!

He was so proud of his snow angel.

We warmed up with some hot chocolate when we came back in,
then we got cooled off with some snow ice cream....yummy!!
I'm sure am thankful that Mother Nature gave me this unexpected time off to enjoy my sweet boy just before his birthday!!

Fort Worth Stockshow and Rodeo

On Sunday, we put on our cowboy boots and headed to the stock show and Rodeo. We have taken Landon to the stock show the last two years, but this was his first year to go the rodeo.
My little cowboy had to put his cell phone in his pocket...he didn't want to miss an opportunity to get a cute little little cowgirls phone number! Ha!
We took Landon on a few rides soon after we got there, and he loved this big slide!! As soon as they stood up Landon said, "Let's do it again!"

Landon really enjoyed the rodeo. I was a little worried that he wouldn't be able to sit through the whole rodeo, but he did! We even had to bribe him with popcorn so that he would leave his seat to go to the restroom, and he typically loves to check out bathrooms wherever we go, so it was not at all normal for him to turn down a trip to the bathroom! Ha!!
Checking out some big equipment.

He was asleep within minutes of getting into the car. Between his birthday party the day before and the rodeo he was super tired!

Landon's 3rd Birthday Party

We had Landon's 3rd Birthday Party this past weekend and he had SO much fun!! We had his birthday party at Little Gym, Landon went this past summer during the summer and he loved it, so I knew he would love having his party there, too! It was so stress free for me...they do EVERYTHING for you so you just get to enjoy the party...so nice!! Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Char, and Aunt Britt came in for the festivities, too!
Before we left for the party Landon opened his presents from grandparents and aunts. The first one that he opened was cowboy boots!! YEEHAW!!! And you can't wear cowboy boots without a cowboy belt!! So loved....and spoiled!!
The birthday cake! I had to order 2 because they didn't make cookie cakes big enough to feed the amount of people we had coming.
The party favors!

Landon before the party started. He was so excited!! He loves Little Gym and couldn't wait to get inside the gym.
Fun with friends!

About to knock over the "cheese slice" with Aunt Char and Aunt Britt!

Everyone sang Happy Birthday to Landon while he sat in the middle of this enormous parachute...so fun!

All the kiddos minus one!

David enjoying the party, too!
The two best aunts!!
Landon had a super fun time at his party, and I'm so thankful that he had some very sweet little friends to celebrate with! After Landon's party we headed to church and then to dinner at Babes...yummy!!
We must have been super thirsty after all the birthday festivities!! Ha!!

Sweet Memories

Landon and I had to run a few errands after school today and he was the biggest chatterbox ever....I loved it!! I love his sweet innocence and how he interprets this world we live in....he seriously keeps me laughing! I wanted to write down some of the things he said tonight because I know I won't remember them otherwise.
As we were driving in the car I told Landon that we needed to go get a car wash.....a few minutes later he noticed a very dirty tractor working in the ditch and he said, "Oh Mommy--that tractor needs a 'tractor wash'!!" Ha!!
As we were out and about he noticed some pink and blue helium balloons and said in the sweetest voice, "Mommy--look, it's Logan!" So sweet--he was referring to the MEND walk and sending balloons to all the babies in Heaven.
We went through the drive-thru at Chick-fil-a for dinner (yes, that's 2 times this week we have been there!) and Landon told me that he loves 'Chick the lay'. Ha! Anytime we go somewhere that has a drive-thru Landon wants his window down too...as I was placing my order through the drive-thru speaker he kept trying to talk over me and place HIS order. And as he was trying to place his order this is a little how his conversation went: "Ummm, I want chicken nuggets and ummm, I want chocolate milk, and ummmm." I must say 'ummmm' a lot when I go through drive-thrus!! :) I'm glad the lady taking our order thought he was cute!!

Landon sneezed tonight and after he did he said, "I blessed you!"

Oh, how this kid seriously is just the best!!!!!! :)
