Happy 4th Birthday, Logan!

It's hard to believe that another year has passed since Logan was born on that unexpected morning four years ago. I can't help but wondering what he would be like if he were still here with us. I guess it's just normal for my mind to go there.

These anniversary days always bring back so many emotions from those sad days in the hospital, but when my emotions get the best of me I have to remind myself that this chapter in our families lives was part of God's plan for us. I know he had a purpose in bringing Logan with us for only 5 short days, and I try to find comfort in his purpose although I may not know what that purpose is.

Happy 4th Birthday, sweet boy!

Almost There....

We have almost made it to our 2 week Christmas break! One more day...we can DO it!! The Christmas break is always such a wonderful treat, being a teacher does have its perks!!
I am looking forward to spending some quality time with this cute boy!
He enjoyed painting all the small little crevices, but when it came to painting the body of the gingerbread man brown he was done! So, we have a half painted gingerbread man hanging on our tree. Sweet memories.

"Mommy, I wanna cupcake.....pleeeeeease?!?!"

Jammies and Bedtime Stories

There is nothing better and a sweet boy, fresh out of the bathtub, with cute jammies on! Landon listening to, The Very First Christmas, he loves this story! He listens to it over and over and over!

He turned into a giggle box before going to bed!
I love teaching this sweet boy the true meaning of Christmas!

November Update

I am so behind on blogging that I have to update for the whole month of November in one post! Not something I intended to do, however, the month FLEW by...I can't believe that it is already December!!
We flew to Albuquerque at the beginning of the month for a funeral. David's aunt passed away after a battle with cancer. She was the one of the sweetest ladies I knew and I know that her family has a difficult year ahead. My heart hurts for them.
While in Albuquerque, we got to see David's brother and his family. It was wonderful to see them, I just wish that it was under different circumstances.
Landon loved seeing his cousins.
We also attempted Christmas pictures this past month and one cute little boy wanted nothing to do with the camera!! Ha!

For Thanksgiving, we headed down to NB to see my parents and sisters. We truly have so much to be thankful for.
Landon loves his grandpa and this picture of them just makes me smile...so much happiness is in it.
Landon with Aunt Britt. Landon had fun playing with all the toys at grandma's and this little turtle is one of his favorites.

At the end of the month Landon got to spend several days with his grandma!!
David's mom came to stay with us for a few days and watch Landon and one of his little friends while David and I were at work. Landon's sitter went on a cruise, so David's mom was so sweet to take time off from her job to help us out. We are so thankful for her, she is just the sweetest. I know Landon LOVED spending some quality time with her. He is so blessed to have such a wonderful grandma!

Also, during the month of November one cute little boy found the Christmas spirit!

Sweet Words

Landon says some of the sweetest things and I just want to write some of them down so that I'll remember them. Time is flying by with him so fast and he seems to change daily. "Mommy, you so pretty."
"Mommy, you wanna play with me?"
Seriously, how can I say "no" when he is just so sweet?!?!
"No no no no no....Mommy, I love YOU!"
"Mommy, you wanna nuggle with me?"
"Mommy, you wanna talk?"
Each night after we read our books, we sit in his bed and talk. He always wants to talk about Curious George, horses, and Jesus.
Sweet boy.

Trick-or-Treat

This little Redskin had a great night of trick-or-treating. David took him to a few houses on our street, while I stayed home and handed out candy.
Yes, I know this helmet is absolutely pitiful.
I walked to a few houses with them to snap some pictures.
Landon was such a sweet little boy and always said "thank you!"
He wanted to pull the wagon rather than sit in it.
I remember last year when he didn't really understand that when you knocked on a door someone would give you candy, but this year I think he understood the concept very well! Ha! He wanted to eat his candy non-stop once he came home.
