Vacation

This year for Christmas we went on a cruise with my parents and sisters and it was the absolute best vacation!  I love cruises for so many reasons and I'm convinced they're the best way to vacation!  We had a blast!
Here we are just before boarding the ship!
Mom had our room decorated for Landon and she had some sweet treats waiting for him, too!  At this point, I'm pretty sure Landon didn't know all the fun that was in store for him over the next few days.
After dropping off our bags in our rooms, we headed up to the deck to watch the ship depart from Galveston.

Silly boy loves his Aunt Britt.
After the ship departed, we walked around the ship and got Landon signed up for Camp Carnival.  By the time we finished signing him up for Camp Carnival, it was time for dinner.  I think dinner time was one of my favorite parts of each day.  It's always so fancy, and you can eat as much as you want.  And I love how the waiters cater to your every want.  There were several times that David ordered 2 entrees and I ordered 2 desserts!  :)

I will update our other days on the ship throughout the week! :)

Logan

 Happy Birthday!
Our sweet little Logan would have been 5 years old today.
His short little life made a huge impact on our lives and our hearts, and we can't wait until the day that we get to see and hold him again.  What a beautiful day that will be.  I can't wait!

Love and miss you, sweet boy.

Jesus is the Reason

This sweet boy brings so much joy and happiness to our lives.  I'm just not sure what we even did before we were blessed with him.
We went to a Christmas party a few weekends ago and on the way to the party Landon asked, "Mom, are we going to Jesus' birthday party?"
Our Elf on the Shelf is back this year and Landon is enjoying finding him each morning.  The Elf has forgotten to go to the North Pole a few times (oops!) and remained in the same spot for more than a day.  We've definitely got to be on top of those things as he gets older.  For now it's pretty easy to play off our mistakes.  :)
We've been busy making candy and some of our other favorite holiday treats lately.  I'm hoping that our next visit to the dentist will be a good one after all the sweets we've consumed the past couple of weeks.  The scale may not like me as much either.  :/
 Cheese!
I'm definitely looking forward to some quality time with this little guy during our much needed holiday break!

Soccer

Landon had his first soccer game a couple of weekends ago!
I think I may have been more excited than he was!
Landon was too busy checking everything out to pay attention to the camera.
Landon and his friend Thomas became friends instantly.  They've only been around each other just a handful of times and you'd think they had been friends forever if you saw them together.  During the game they kept hugging each other on the field!  Ha!
Landon and Thomas walking to their first soccer game together.  :)
Aren't they cute?

David is the coach of the team and he is allowed to be on the field with the kids.  Here he is telling Landon to go get the ball.
 Go Landon!
Taking a break and watching the game.
David giving the team a pep talk.  David is so good with these little 3 year olds.  I love watching him with them--makes me proud!

 Go Sweepers!!
The whole team!
It's tough getting 7 three year olds to look at the camera with 7 excited mom's trying to take a picture.  They had no idea which camera to look at!  Ha!

Santa

On Saturday, we took Landon up to my school to see Santa and eat a pancake breakfast.  Landon was super excited to sit on Santa's lap, and while we waited in line he couldn't wait to get up on his lap.
Once it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap, he got a tab bit nervous.
But he quickly warmed up and was all smiles.

After we made our visit to Santa we enjoyed our pancake breakfast with these sweet friends.
This little guy had a fun morning!

Traditions

The tradition for my Dad's side of the family is to celebrate Christmas the first or second Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Each year I look forward to spending the day with everyone.  We enjoy a nice lunch and then do a Chinese Christmas exchange.  I love this tradition because it's the one time a year that we are all together.
 The Honkomp's
Brittney and Granddad looking at their numbers for the gift exchange.  I'm sure they were up to no good with grins like that!

Long before the gift exchange, Landon had already found the gift he wanted and Aunt Charley made a necklace out of it for him to wear until the exchange.  Silly boy!

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

We put up our Christmas decorations this past weekend and Landon had the best time hanging ornaments on the tree  (all in the same spot).  I moved them around once he went to bed.  :)  I didn't want to hurt his little feelings because he was so proud of his work.
I was doing some laundry in the other room and walked into the living room to see Landon sitting on a bar stool watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.  Sweet boy!
 Such a cutie!
Last year, we were shopping at Hobby Lobby and Landon spotted a white bird ornament that he just had to have.  So, I caved and bought it for him.  He carried it all around the house last year and when the holidays were over, I packed the white bird up with all the other ornaments.  When I took the ornaments out of the plastic bin this year, he spotted that little white bird and fell in love with it again!  He has slept with it every night since then.  Silly boy!
This is my most favorite ornament on our tree.
This ornament was in Logan's bed while he was in the NICU.
Landon is at a stage where he likes having his picture taken, so he wanted one by the tree.
And one with the soldier!  :)
