First Post of the NEW YEAR!!

Oh, how I love new beginnings! A new year....2011!! I can't wait to see what is in store for our family this year. 2010 was a great year as we watched Landon go from a toddler to a VERY curious little boy that wants to know how everything in this world works!
This year:
Landon will turn 3
David will turn 36 (on the closer end to 40!!--no worries David, you are still young!)
I will turn 31 (oh my!--I remember when my mom was 31 and I thought she was OLD!)
David and I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary
I will enter my 9th year of teaching
We will be taking a trip to the Rocky Mountains
David and I are going on our 2nd cruise and Landon will go on his 1st cruise
Lots of fun things to look forward to this year!
We went to my aunt's house for New Years Eve and we got to see lots of family! We left before midnight because we wanted to get home safely before all the crazies were out on the roads driving. We made it home in time to watch the ball drop on TV, at least David and I did...little man was fast asleep in his bed!I tried to get a good picture of Landon with my mom, but he wasn't loving the camera much that night!
This was one of the best pictures that I got of them two! This silly boy definitely keeps me on my toes!

Happy New Year!

Christmas with Grandma W

The day after Christmas we went to David's grandmas house to celebrate Christmas with his side of the family.

Landon was so excited to get this tractor. Grandma said Christmas just isn't Christmas unless little tractors are running around.

Merry Christmas

This was the first Christmas that we have stayed at home for the whole day. We had our Christmas celebrations before Christmas this year.We went to church on Christmas Eve so we were able to lounge around all day. We played with Landon's new toys, watched movies, ate yummy food, and we finally got out of our jammies around 4 in the afternoon! I love how this sweet little boy brings so much joy to the season. We have so much to be thankful for.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!!

Ice and Santa

We took Landon to ICE at the Gaylord and we also saw Santa while we were there.

Landon was ready to go in!

We were so cold by the time we were finished, and poor Landon was crying at the end because his fingers were hurting. :(
After we warmed up we went to see Santa.

Landon was not afraid of Santa this year! When it was his turn he walked right up to Santa and held his arms out for Santa to pick him up. Landon was very serious as he sat on Santa's lap, and rather than tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas, Landon talked to him about the elevator that he could see in the distance. I'm sure he wanted to know how it worked! Ha!

On our way home we stopped to get 'The Elf on the Shelf'. We were a little late in starting it this Christmas, however, I can't wait to use it next year!!

Logan

This is not at all
How we thought it was supposed to be
We had so many plans for you
We had so many dreams

And now you've gone away

And left us with the memories of your smile

And nothing we can say and nothing we can do

Can take away the pain, the pain of losing you

But we can cry with hope

We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye
Is not the end, oh no

And we can grieve with hope
'Cause we believe with hope
There's a place where we'll see your face, again
We'll see your face again

And never have I known
Anything so hard to understand
And never have I questioned more
The wisdom of God's plan

We wait with hope
And we ache with hope
We hold on with hope
We let go with hope

Random Happenings

Landon wrote his first letter! He brought it to me and said, "Look mommy, I made an 'i'!" I think he did a pretty good job!!
Landon received this smart cycle from grandma and grandpa for Christmas and he is more interested in figuring out how it is put together rather than playing the games! His favorite phrase lately is, "How it works?"
Landon doesn't like for me to help him get dressed most of the time, so if we are not going anywhere I usually just let him do it and if it is put on backwards or inside out I just let it be.
So, sometimes his underwear are on backwards, his shirts are inside out, or his socks are on top of his pants!!
