Oh so close!!

Landon is so very close to walking all around. He takes about 5 steps and then gets off balance. You can tell by the expressions on his face that he is so excited and proud of himself. I am very proud of him too! Here are a couple of videos showcasing his new skills...

Our weekend in a nutshell...

Landon is ready to go for a ride in his new wagon that he got for his birthday. I'm ready for the weather to warm up so we can take him for a ride.

We had a pretty relaxing weekend, which is just what we needed. It was a good Valentine's weekend, spending it with the two people I love most. We did venture out on Saturday night for a Valentine's dinner with some good friends. It wasn't a romantic Valentine's dinner with 6 kiddos in tow, but it was a good time.

Happy Birthday Landon James

This has been an absolutely amazing year. I am so blessed to be Landon's mom. It has been amazing watching him turn into a little boy. I completely miss him being the little baby that I could hold in my arms for hours, but I love watching him grow into a handsome little boy. My heart melts every morning as I listen to him on the monitor talk and laugh at himself. It's small moments like that that make me realize just how truly lucky I am. This first year with Landon has brought so much love and laughter to our lives and we are so incredibly blessed. We can't wait to see what is in store for us next year.

We had so much fun planning Landon's first birthday. Grandparents, aunts, and great friends helped us celebrate Landon's big day. We opted for the traditional first birthday party; a party a our house!! It was a ton of fun!!

On Saturday we took Landon to get his 2nd haircut. This time we took him to a kid friendly place to get his haircut--the first time we did not. This time was much better. We will definitely be taking him back to this place. Landon had fun playing with the toys while waiting for his turn, and he got to watch ELMO while he was getting his haircut. So fun!!

Mohawk

So, I discovered that the mohawk hair-do is not for Landon. However, it was an opportunity to take a few silly pictures. This is definitely not a look that he will be leaving the house with any time soon.
