Happy New Year!
The past week has been so very busy...a wonderful busy!! Lots of family, traveling and more traveling. We spent Christmas in New Braunfels with my family, then we headed to Albuquerque to spend some time with David's family. Landon had a great first Christmas--he was a very spoiled little boy!!

Busy, yet relaxing weekend...
On Saturday, we woke our little elf selves up early to help Santa hand out presents to the children at JPS hospital. The children started lining up to receive their present at 4:00am. For some of the children, this is the only present that they will get this Christmas. It was so wonderful seeing the families faces light up when they received their gift. This was such a wonderful experience for us and we can't wait to do it again next year. We are truly blessed. To see an article about the event click here.
Saturday evening we went to the annual Christmas party at our neighbor's house. As we were all gathered around visiting, we heard several LOUD knocks on the front door. To our surprise (or should I say to the kids surprise) a very special visitor came to see who has been naughty or nice this year!! Santa came in and sat in front of the fireplace, all the children got to sit in his lap and he gave each of them a present. I was unsure of how Landon would react to Santa. To my surprise, he LIKED him!! As the other children sat on Santa's lap, Landon, with his eye brows flexed, talked to Santa from across the room. He clearly could not wait for his turn to sit on the jolly fellows lap.

Landon thinks it's fun to take everything out of his drawers, then put it back in. When mom isn't looking, he attempts to "hide" the content of his drawers behind the dresser.

Landons attempt at combing his own hair while on our way back to Texas.
