Silly Boy...

First Haircut

David and I took Landon for his first haircut tonight!! He is starting to look like a little boy instead of a baby. :( He did very well with the haircut process until she brought out the electric trimmers to trim around his ears and neckline. The "haircut lady" tried to gently introduce Landon to the trimmers by letting him touch them and look at them. The moment she turned them on he screamed!! He finally calmed down, so she tried to start trimming, however, it didn't go too smoothly--Landon kept trying to turn around and look and see where those scary trimmers were and why were they touching his neck.

"Help me mom!!"

A very sweet friend of mine gives Landon toys that her boys have out grown and ELMO is one of these toys. ELMO sings and dances and the first time Landon saw this toy he was very leary of it, it would even be safe to say that he was scared of it. He has warmed up to ELMO and it keeps him entertained for a bit.

"Okay, I have had enough of ELMO, now get me out of this chair!"

"Naps over, I'm ready to eat!!"

David is trying to "make" Landon play with the soccer ball--notice how he is more interested in the grass!!

9 Month Update

Here are the new happenings...

• crawls everywhere
• pulls up to a standing position
• wears 9-12 month clothing
• mimics sounds that we make...I always try to get him to say "maamaa" and David always tries to get him to say "daadaa"
• eats Cheerios independently
• out grew his little bathtub
• no idea how much he weighs...he has a check-up later this month, so we'll know then
• loves to play with his shadow
• loves to look at himself in the mirror
• enjoys laughing and talking to Coco

I have been awful about taking pictures this past week. I will be better this weekend, I hope!! Mom and Dad came last weekend and I took a total of 4 pictures...how sad is that?!?! The battery on my camera was dead, so that is my excuse.

Grandma and Grandpa said that they were packing Landon up and taking him with them.

Our Little Stinker

Landon's first Halloween was very short and sweet. He went trick-or-treating at my friend Amy's house, then we spent some time at the Fall Festival that our HOA put on. All the loud music and huge mass of costumes was a little overwhelming for Landon. He truly was a "little stinker", so we cut the night short and came home.

Why do we buy expensive toys when we have something as wonderful as a shadow to play with? Landon's shadow has been his favorite toy so far, paper is his next toy of choice!
